It's about seing.
The pictures capture my love for nature and everything that grows. The motifs appear by themselves - they come to mind when I am outside.
Taking photos at close range is like diving into a new world.

HERO
A normal day. I'm sitting at the set breakfast table. I've bought the food. I didn't produce it myself. I picked what I like at the food store. That might not sound so crazy, you think. I actually think the same, but not right now. I'm stopping. Both my parents grew up on the farm. From my father's side, more into grain growing, my mother's side a few cows, which grandma milked by hand. My mother had the job of leading the cows to pasture every morning before school started. It was sometime in the 50s. They weren't self-sufficient, but did their part by producing food, which required everything. What a speed of development happened since then. We are 3 siblings who each have their own education and work "inside/office jobs". We are 17 cousins. Everyone also works "inside/in the office" etc. Don't get me wrong: I love my job. Being self-sufficient is perhaps a romantic illusion that I have. You and I are dependent on others being willing to produce the food we eat. Isn't that crazy and pure luxury? Luxury, people! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that society sees the indispensable value and appreciates the HEROes for their efforts! |

Bestseller "View" When I woke up the morning after the Vestfjordseilasen in Kabelvåg on the Lofoten and crawled out of my berth, it was still completely quiet around me. Many people were still sleeping. The right time to look around. The Leika D-Lux-4 joined me on a little morning walk.
Then the boathouse suddenly stood right in front of me. Just on its feet, still. It is not there to this day. The wind has taken it. |

This is how I work with photography:: Growing organically with permaculture as my inspiration is a lot of fun. A lot of time goes by between sowing and harvesting, weeding, watering, fertilizing ... you know. These crops that I cheer on and try my best to take care of become a kind of ... what should I say ... friend?! Something dear and perhaps with a sense of attachment. This nice leek (I call it a pyrreløk) has managed to grow in quite tough conditions and a little "good will" from the weather gods. Now it's on the kitchen counter. It needs to be admired a little. A special moment. It takes courage for me to cut off the root. And then suddenly a photo motif appears. A photo session is underway. A new life for the leek on paper. |
«SWEET rhubarb»
We are very happy to follow everything that is growing in the garden these days. Although these handsome sticks need a lot of sugar before we can eat them 💚 Of course!
"DEEP OCEAN"
Taken from the quay at Holkestad in Steigen. I love the sea and am very happy to live by the coast - watching the tide come and go.

We are family And these mushrooms ❤️. The secret forest they live in is a joy to be in. Huge trees stand close together. Just enough space to get through. Discovering a beautiful mushroom is a big moment. I always manage to convince them to come home with me. The kitchen counter is "The destination" They roll around on the table, pushed here and there. Suddenly, some are standing together close to each other. The heart makes a jump and the family picture is created. |
