Yes, we are rich photo on polyprop, 500 x 90 cm
A 5-meter-long collage composed of 42 photographs that Pedersen has taken in the vicinity of Steigen of wild plants and vegetables from her own garden. The outline of the title "JA VI ER RIKE" in white. Wonder is created by partially abstracted motifs in macro shots. Discovering the rich nature we live in as a food resource is desired. A possible step to find oneself again.
Her pride and joy
Photo on polyprop 180 x 90 cm
Pictures of the basement at Regina's home in Germany (center), which show dusty shelves with empty jars. Grandmothers' treasure trove has become a mausoleum. Food. In everyday life for women before: "completely immersive", obtained through their own efforts and knowledge passed down from previous generations. For reflection on self-sufficiency and food quality.

The title “Season 74” says something about the life and work rhythm of that generation. Pedersen has followed Marlies, 82, for a whole week during the home slaughter. Together they divided the meat, trimmed, preserved and made sausages, the old-fashioned way - without preservatives. Regina has documented the workflow, tools and equipment and Marlies with photos. The photographs have been digitally processed to highlight a life's work and a knowledge that is possibly lost with that generation of housewives.
Tekst: Ulrike Niederberger Hands photo on canvas, 90 x 90 cm Composite images of hands and minced meat. The image collage with text creates a clear representation of the different views people have about meat and not least raw meat. The images show Marlie's hands weighing minced meat on an old, analog kitchen scale. A practical example of action-based knowledge that no one is interested in learning. |
